William Kennedy
Indian Mutiny Medal, 1857-58, with two clasps, "Relief of Lucknow," "Delhi"  Colr. Serjt. Wm. Kennedy, 75th Regt.
William Kennedy enlisted Nov 26th, 1849 and was assigned number 2902. He was promoted to Corporal in early 1853
and then to Sgt on 26th Sept, 1855 and then to Col Sgt June 24th, 1857. He was later reduced to Private by order of
RCM at Meerut on May 10th, 1859.

Kennedy served in No 3. Coy during the siege of Delhi and received 2 1/2 shares of the prize money which amounted to  
215 Rupees. He also received a little over 40 Rupees for his share of the Lucknow Prize Money

He was discharged 26th Sept 1860 and believed to be residing in Canada when the medal was issued.

Kennedy appears as a Colour Sergeant in the Musters at July 31st, 1857. See Below:
